Overview
Thinkwell combines the power of multimedia technology with compelling content to provide a rich and effective learning experience for your more advanced high school students. With an eye towards Advanced Placement exams or general college prep work, Thinkwell provides either a self-paced or monitored environment that delivers instruction that is otherwise difficult to provide.
Instead of reading a textbook, your students watch a series of 10-minute video lectures and then complete online exercises that reinforce concepts and demonstrate mastery of the topics. Online support materials include illustrated notes and animations and all student activity is tracked.
Thinkwell Lab Packs provide high schools with a flexible and cost-effective implementation. While a specific number of students are allowed access with each lab pack, additional access may be purchased. Best of all, an unlimited number of students have access to any Thinkwell-equipped computer:
One 3 year license for a specific Thinkwell title for one computer is $250. There is a volume discount based on the number of PCs equipped (see above). Authorization codes are $49.95 each (no volume discount). Labs/schools purchase the number of lab licenses to equip a specific number of computers making a "Lab Pack."
Example:
A department has a lab with 50 PCs and purchases a lab pack to deliver a Thinkwell title on all those PCs for $8,750. An unlimited number of students have access to the videos on those PCs for three years. The school can purchase authorization codes for $49.95 each to have access to the Thinkwell website components, or students can purchase them individually.
